"Love These Memories" Layout Featuring NEW Prima's Life Time Collection

Hi everyone, I am excited to share the very first peak of one of Prima's Winter CHA Releases called the "Life Time" Collection!

It's an amazing gorgeous new line and I'm thrilled to share this project/layout I created called "Love These Memories"! The Life Time collection papers/prints, masks, flowers, stamps, embellishment, metal trinkets...everything.. are all amazing and your going to love it

Here's a layout I made as a holiday gift! I truly believe that handmade gifts are the most precious thing you can ever give to a loved one :)

Here's some simple steps I used to create a simple layout:

- Gather he beautiful prints from the Life Time collection along with the coordinating embellishments: metal trinkets, FLOWERS (all sizes), wooden buttons/tickets, ribbon, more flowers, etc.
- Gather tools: sharp exacto, scissors, Beacon Adhesive, crop-a-dile, cutting mat, inks, paper trimmer, border punches, etc.
- Next, GET BUSY! Use the alpha packaging material for the base of the top layer. Fold into pocket using directions on packaging.
- Grab your favorite picture and matte it with a paper that contrasts against the pocket.
- Cut out the tags or other embellishments you want to incorporate to the project. Look for phrases that are meaningful to you.
-  Now your ready to embellish. Your project base is ready for you to start embellishing. add your flowers, trinkets.
- Tip: Imagine a triangle on your layout. Any shape of triangle. Now at the points of your triangle add clusters of embellishments. Your eye will move to these three points on your layout so make sure the points are where you want your focus to be. Face, title, cluster of pretty embellishments!

Do you like how it looks? Keep going! Add a title, trinkets! Have fun.. play with the design. You can do it. Just glue and do it!
- And the MOST important thing to remember: There's no right or wrong way to scrap! Enjoy the process, relax and have fun with it! You'll see..

Here's some photo's of the "Life Collection " Binder Book I created. I love how simple and fast this project was to create! Keeping the inside pages simple yet filled with patterned paper enables the recipient lots of fun opportunities to add their own special touch to the book!

"2012 Memory Book" featuring Prima's Firefly Collection

Hi everyone, I'm excited to share a fun and easy to create book called "Memories" using Prima's Mixed Media Album along with the gorgeous Firefly Collection!

With the new year just around the corner, it's time for me to record my favorite memories of 2012! For this year's memory book I decided to use Prima's Mixed Media Album kit! The album kit is filled with all types of different creative opportunity sheets (resist canvas, watercolor, plain canvas, clear plastic, tags, and lots of double sided sheets)! Exciting and perfect for this project!

I wanted to keep this book simple and included only a few special photos from the year and lightly embellish the pages with my favorite - flowers!  There plenty of room for writing and the colors of the album kit coordinate beautifully with the Firefly Collection. I'm thrilled with how this Memory book turned out - I can't wait to write down all my words, thoughts and fun memories from 2012.

Here's some simple steps on creating a memory book:

1) Gather your supplies: Mixed Media Album, some of your favorite photos from 2012, coordinating flowers/embellishments, glue, scissors and then get started!

2) Embellish your cover and add your title. Place your embellishments down, move them around and when its pleasing to your eye, GLUE IT down! Remember just have fun creating!

3) For inside pages, let the pre-printed album pages do the work for you! Just add your photos with embellishments and leave plenty of space for your writing skills!

That's it! Enjoy this easy to create project!

Here's a couple of extra photo's of the 2012 Memory Book I created.

I love how simple and fast this project was to create! Keeping the inside pages simple yet filled with Prima flowers and incorporating Firefly patterned paper enables me lots of fun writing opportunities that will turn this book into a special keepsake!

"Special" Binder Book Project featuring Prima's Rondelle Collection

Hi everyone, I'm excited to share a fun and easy to make binder book called "Special" using the Rondelle Collection!

With the holidays just around the corner, it's time for me to start creating my holiday gifts for special friends! This year I'm creating simple to make, yet gorgeous, 6x6 binder books with lots of inside pages to hold photos, handwritten notes, whatever my scrappy friends choose! And the Rondelle Collection with all those gorgeous flowers and bold prints is perfect for this project!

Here's some simple steps I used to create a 6x6 binder book:
- Cut two (2) 6 x 6 black chipboard pieces for your front and back covers and hole punch for 3 ring binder.
- Cut twelve (12) sheets of manila cardstock into 6 x 6 sheets and hole punch for 3 ring binder.
- Gather beautiful prints you love and coordinating embellishments: metal trinkets, FLOWERS (all sizes), wooden buttons/tickets, ribbon, more flowers, etc.
- Gather tools: sharp exacto, scissors, Beacon Adhesive, crop-a-dile, cutting mat, inks, paper trimmer, border punches, etc.
- Next, GET BUSY! Grab a beautiful print that draws your eye and  and put it down on the chipboard cover page. Do you like how it looks? Keep going! Start embellishing your cover. Add a title, trinkets! Have fun.. play with the design. You can do it. Just glue and do it!
- And the MOST important thing to remember: There's no right or wrong way to scrap! Enjoy the process, relax and have fun with it! You'll see..

Here's some photo's of the "Special Gift" Binder Book I created. I love how simple and fast this project was to create! Keeping the inside pages simple yet filled with patterned paper enables the recipient lots of fun opportunities to add their own special touch to the book!

*REPOST* OF Romance Novel Kit Completed

**** Hi... Ok.. I've been getting lots of emails asking where I posted the completed Romance Novel Kit.  So... Here it is! :) I'm reposting again for easy finding.. .hope this helps!! *****

Hi everyone, I'm excited to share a fun, easy and gorgeous mini album called "Beautiful Whisper" using the Romance Novel Collection!

When I seen the new Prima Romance Novel collection I had one of those *gasp-love-it-gotta-create-with-it* moments! Let me explain. Making mini albums is one of my favorite projects to do and this collection was beautifully designed just for that - creating mini albums (Thank You Marion)!  The papers/prints are amazing gorgeous but I got crazy excited to see all those printed tags, pockets for cut out, journaling cards.. yikes! I swear I just wanted to get those prints in my hands and start cutting out all that happiness! So, I did.

If you've never created a mini album before... I have to tell you, this is the perfect collection to use to make one! With all the fun journaling notes, cards, pockets, etc. this is an easy mini to put together!

Here's some simple steps I use when creating mini's:

- Get a chipboard mini album that will fit the size of photos you'll be using.
- Gather beautiful prints you love and coordinating embellishments: metal trinkets, FLOWERS (all sizes), wooden buttons/tickets, ribbon, more flowers, etc.
- Gather tools: sharp exacto, scissors, Beacon Adhesive, crop-a-dile, cutting mat, inks, paper trimmer, border punches, etc.
- Next, GET BUSY! Grab a print and put it down on the chipboard page. Do you like how it looks? If so, glue down and trim edges. Do this for all the pages.
- After all the pages are covered, I then go back to the first page and start embellishing. Lay tags, trinkets, flowers down - place embellishments so its pleasing to your eye (contrast is good!) Now, glue it! Tip: scrap in a triangular design - it is pleasing to the eye!
- But the MOST important thing to remember: There's no right or wrong way to scrap! Enjoy the process, relax and have fun with it! You'll see.. in no time you'll look up at the clock and 3 hrs have past!
- Lastly, YOU CAN DO IT! But I have to tell you.. you'll become addicted to making mini albums! :)

Here's some photo's of the mini album I created. The pages are simply put together with a little layering here and there. I used the coordinating Romance Novel embellishments along with all those beautiful images (journaling cards, pockets and tags)!
